HISTORY
The earliest known forefather of the 'Azhikkakathu' family of Ayroor in Pathanamthitta district is Shri. Ninan of 'Karamoottil' family of Kidangannur, near Aranmula of the same district. He was born in the year 1822(app). He had married Achiamma of Villethethu family of Ayroor. He passed away at Kidangannur soon after his only son was born in the year 1842(app). This son named Ninan Ninan and his mother soon shifted to Ayroor. We are all his desendants.
Ninan Ninan Appachen got married to Aleyamma of Melukara, near Kozhenchery. Her father Shri.Iripooty belonged to Veliampally family of Mallappally who had settled at Melukara by the family name Meledathu. Ninan Ninan couple had five sons and two daughters as under:-
